About Us
Vida Boa means “good life” in Portuguese, and, in Jiu Jitsu and Acai, we found out what makes our life good.
The story of Vida Boa began when Fernando and Jennifer came together, in 2015. Fernando had just moved from Brazil to Lake Jackson (TX) to start his own Brazilian Jiu Jitsu academy, when Jennifer walked through the door of his new business. Since that day, the couple has worked hard to make their good life together.
We just love acai bowls!
In the summer of 2019, Fernando traveled back to Brazil for the first time in five years, to get a new stripe on his Jiu Jitsu black belt. While celebrating with his family and friends, he enjoyed a long-awaited bowl of local acai. It was then he realized how much he’d missed the sweetness of the berries, the crunch of the granola, and the honey on top. So, Jen and Fernando decided to bring the authentic Brazilian acai bowl to their School of Jiu Jitsu in Lake Jackson.
At Vida Boa Açai, we are proud to serve authentic, organic and healthier açaí bowls, straight from the Amazon rainforest in Brazil. And we are excited to share something that we are so passionate about with the community that we came to love.
