Places to train outdoors in Brazoria County

Engaging in a quality gym offers numerous benefits to enhance your exercise routine, particularly for beginners. It provides a practical and controlled environment with the security of a structured exercise plan, overseen by fitness professionals. However, for those seeking alternatives, the advantages of outdoor training are worth exploring.

Also, there’s another aspect of GYMS that frequently goes unnoticed: the community. If you’re training by yourself, GYMs are great places to meet PEOPLE with similar interests and GOALS, and who are facing the same challenges.

All that to say… that GYMs can have their downsides too.

For starters, finding the one that’s RIGHT for you – where you feel welcomed and comfortable, while still finding the tools and the SUPPORT to meet your goals – could take some effort. After all, we know that GYMs can be somewhat overwhelming environments at first.

There’s also the matter of prices. Depending on where you’re living in, a GYM subscription won’t be cheap and maybe you’re unable to afford it right now. Or maybe you rather invest in a personal trainer, for instance. There’s even the possibility that you’re more of a nature fan, and that you find GYMs too predictable or dull.

For all those cases, you’ll be glad to know that “training” and “GYMs” aren’t synonyms, and that there’s plenty of different places where you can exercise with safety and comfort, while still enjoying the SIGHTS.

So let’s discover some places – RIGHT here in Brazoria County – that are perfect for your outdoor training!

The benefits of exercising outdoors

While all kinds of exercising have countless health benefits, training outdoors will exponesionaly increase those benefits – in aspects which indoor training can’t quite match.

To start with the basics, it’s a great way to expose yourself to sunlight, which is essential to our PHYSICAL and mental health. Combining it with the endorphin and serotonin naturally released by our bodies during training, exercising outdoors can reduce your stress levels, stabilize your mood, control the symptoms of depression… while giving you a tan. But don’t forget the sunscreen and avoid hours with HIGH incidence!

Training outdoor it’s also a great way to challenge your BODY to respond to different environments, burning more calories and keeping your mind occupied in ADAPTING your training plan to new terrains and scenarios.
