How the açaí bowls
If you already came to our store, you must have noticed the School of Jiu Jitsu on the side. The acai and this martial art have the same origin: both are part of the Brazilian culture.
When Fernando decided to live in Lake Jackson (TX) and teach Brazilian Jiu Jitsu in 2015, he missed the little purple and sweet fruit that used to be part of his meal in Brazil.
When he traveled back to Brazil in 2019, he had the idea to bring the acai bowl to Texas and offer a new experience to Brazoria County.
Since then, our acai bowl has attracted thousands of people who want to have a healthier and sweet Vida Boa (“good life” in Portuguese).
Acai (açaí) is one of the most famous fruits in Brazil. It comes from the Amazon rainforest and is consumed as a snack with wild fruits, granola and honey, or as a meal with fish and other side dishes. Rich in nutrients, carbs and proteins, acai is a healthy source of energy. In fact, this fruit is part of the diet of athletes such as Hélio Gracie, father of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. That's why we love this combination so much and bring these two passions to our store: acai and Jiu Jitsu side by side.
